What Is Worship?

Worship is essentially an organized means of saying “thank you” to God for the gift of life. It is something we can do with one another or individually. Followers of Jesus Christ have traditionally worshiped on Sunday – the first day of the week – because it was the day that Christ was raised from death in The Resurrection.

Worship entails giving praise, seeking wisdom through reading and reflecting on Scripture, offering support to the ministries of the church, and praying for the needs of the world.
